INSPIRE OTHERS TO FOLLOW .HON REHEMA DIDA JALDESA.
It is almost a year and a lot has transpired in between 8th of August 2017 up to this date. A lot has been aforementioned on/about the current women rep Isiolo County Hon Rehema Dida Jaldesa, but I choose to look forward and focus my attention towards the positive side,since I know where to speak at , what to speak on and who to speak to. And what happened to "if you can't beat them join them " phrase??...
A soon as the swearing in took place, Hon Rehema started working immediately and turned her attention on delivering despite the highly generated criticism on social media. She has been known to be a vocal lady on matters of Devolution and gender equality. She has strongly established her presence in a territory believed to be male dominated and as a matter of fact her presence has been felt. I believe the climb to the top is arduous and steep. People become exhausted, frustrated, and disenchanted, and are often tempted to give up. Genuine acts of caring draw people forward, and from my own point of view these genuine acts of caring are some of the key factors keeping Madam Honorable strong and relevant.
Traditionally, community affairs and administration has been the domain of men. This is evident from the gender imbalance of leaders and office bearers across community, local council and associations. Women have not been active in local politics and are relatively inactive in public processes due to institutional, socio-economic and cultural constraints. However, times are changing. There is now an acceptance that women can and do play a vital role in community affairs, particularly in contributing to the achievement of community security, development and progress. Hon Jaldesa is a true leader and an example of the real "Times are changing" leaders.
I know I sound like am showering Hon Rehema with praises but to be honest I pay no attention to whatever anybody's level of thinking on praise or blame is. I simply follow my own intuition.
We should learn to appreciate when good things happen.Some of us are full of hate and choose to direct it towards this humble lady and I can say your insolence and refusal to praise and appreciate good leadership is connected to some of those weird deceases that you might find yourself suffering from. Am just saying.
I believe not only in isiolo but Kenya at large that We need women Like Hon Rehema who are so strong they can be gentle, so educated they can be humble, so fierce they can be compassionate, so passionate they can be rational, and so disciplined they can be free.
